Description:
Julia Peterson will demonstrate how to make a healing salve using simple ingredients commonly found in the kitchen and the garden. She'll describe what a salve is and demonstrate the process by making a small batch. The first 25-30 people will get a free sample to take home. A handout will be provided describing the technique, a list of ingredients for making different types of salves, as well as a list of popular herbs and their properties.
* A salve is a blend of herbs macerated in oil to extract the herb's useful constituents for external application. A salve using one herb is called a 'simple' and a blend of herbs is called a 'compound'
