Speaker: Deborah Peterson
(Brief bio) Mrs. Peterson is a member of the New England Unit of the Herb Society of America, the Rare Pit and Plant Council, and various other gardening organizations. A popular lecturer and a published author, Mrs. Peterson is currently under contract with Storey Publishing for a book on Seaside Gardening (due out 04-05).
Description of talk:
A brief look at many of the unusual plants that can be grown from the produce found in local ethnic and supermarkets. Weather permitting, we will harvest the peanuts, tomatillo and potatoes from the Teaching Herb Garden.
Talk will include: Seeds and information sheets on where to buy some of the produce and how to eat, and how to grow them on to plants.
